Stoney Creek Vineyard is the largest Skinner vineyard. Situated at an elevation that ranges from 2,300 to 2,740 feet, the soils of this vineyard are varied, but share a common layer of decomposed granite that limits yields, and adds
complexity and minerality to the finished wines.
The El Dorado AVA is right in the heart of Gold Rush country. Its elevation starts at 1,200 feet, where the cool eastern breezes from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the mountainous terrain of the region combine to produce some of the most unique wines in California.
